Local love: PAX studio

This week’s local love is dedicated to an unique design studio located in Mexico DF, Pax Studio
I’ve always been such a dork fan of notebooks I couldn’t hide my excitement when I discovered this lovely brand a few ago, I mean, a list maker like myself needed these so badly, right?

Pax has been specialized in creating the cutest notebooks and handmade concrete planters for succulents/cactus, and honestly these products are so on point I just want to move to Mexico and have it all at home.

If you’re drooling and loving all this like I did,  just head to my Instagram account here for a chance to win a set of these amazing notebooks today!
(Giveaway valid until August 1st, 2016)

– Tell us a bit about this lovely idea, Pax Studio

We’re a design studio based in Mexico City. We design notebooks and planners with various styles and patterns, and prepare them with blank, coloured and recycled papers for the internal pages. We also design concrete pots with it’s natural colour and other variations. These are our main products and we’re in the process of designing others, soon to be revealed this year on our social media pages here.

What made you decide to open your business and why a handmade/design one?We already have another company that opened five years ago specializing in wedding invitations, favors, accessories and more. Some of our brides requested different and original party favors for their wedding and bachelorette party guests so we designed notebooks and planners for some of those parties and concrete pots for another one. We also had several opportunities with courses and workshops that requested personalized notebooks for their students. We got a very positive reaction out of these projects and decided to move forward with a separate brand entirely dedicated to these products.
Can I have them all?
– Any tips for future entrepreneurs in the city?No tips really, just go ahead and start your brand. It’s pretty easy here. Once we moved to Mexico City earlier this year it became clear that we could do pretty much whatever we wanted, the city offers endless opportunities for companies like ours as you can find a lot of different and original materials for whatever design project you have in mind. It’s one of the reasons why we moved forward with PAX and why we can easily consider other options and new products for our brand. There are streets and areas dedicated entirely to design materials and services, there’s really no excuse to start your own business in this city if that’s what you desire to do.
Thank you Pax, I can’t wait to see more and more from your studio soon and yay for old school notebooks!Good luck on the giveaway,xo
