Last weekend, we spent an entire day with the kiddos at the Old Port, only a few minutes away from home and filled with an endless amount of family activities, right in the heart of Montreal. After 10 long Canadian winters, this family values so much a sunny weekend that we spend most of our days outdoors, soaking all the sun.
The beauty of the Old Port is that it is filled with so many unique activities for the family, where you can rent pedal boats, jump in the ferris wheel while seeing our entire city with their panoramic views, escape to a big maze, go zip-lining, or spending a few hours at the adventure park Voiles en Voiles.
We’re so proud to have the Old Port and Old Montreal showing visitors the history of our city with a magical architecture and now with top experiences where you can have tons of fun.

Jump into La Grande Roue and see the stunning views
This is our second visit to the ferris wheel La Grande-Roue in Old Port and we couldn’t love it more! You can show your kiddos the history of Montreal while they enjoy the majestic views of the Mount-Royal, St-Lawrence river and the port. At night, you will love the colored lights around the wheel.
After the ferris wheel, head to SOS Labyrinthe
Grab a snack (or two) we highly recommend the cotton candy, popcorn and lemonades and head to SOS labyrinthe! We had a blaaaast enjoying the 2 kilometer maze with a single mission: find 4 hidden gems all related to the history of Old Port, so so fun!
Spend an hour in a sweet pedalo ride
Ecorecreo is a sweet, quiet and peaceful activity perfect for family fun during any weekend. 60 minutes of pedal boat on the Natrel Basin, just in front of the ferris wheel, while you enjoy all the historic views of the Old Port and Old Montreal.
End the day with a fun air park!
Can you believe there’s an amazing air adventure park Voiles en Voiles where you can climb aboard two life-size ships at the port? Yes! with many air routes, climbing walls, inflatable games, and even an archery tag arena perfect for the family. We loved this activity and I’m sure you will love it too.
