Yayy things of the weekend: cutest street fair

We finally had a quiet weekend.

I’ve heard about Regine cafe for so long, but honestly, I was waiting a little bit longer to go with a toddler and in a terrible deux phase. We arrived there super early and we waited a couple of minutes to have a table.

As soon as we walked in, I noticed right away the cute decor and how busy the place was for a 9:30am shift. Normally, brunch places at that hour are sorta slow, so I knew it was going to be a good one.

Our server was the cutest. She saw Nico was bored (like, 5 minutes after we had our table, yep, #greatsuccess) and she came back with a small plate with cookies for him. We were in a huge shared table with super friendly neighbours.

To start, they serve a free shooter of the day and coffee. As you know, brunch is my favourite thing of the weekends and it was so hard to decide on one option only.

I ordered the Gros Jambon, with lots and lots of bacon, of course.

Honestly, I can’t wait to go back, I already know what I’m having next.

If you are a big group, show up early! they don’t take reservations.

Right after, we drove to Verdun, where the promenade Wellington organized for the 5th year their The Cabane Panache street fair and Nico was super excited to see the animals again. They had all kinds of activities for families and kids, including a culinary festival of local restaurants and producers of the area, games, exhibitions, live music and a lot more cute things.

Kids were so happy with their tire sur neige although Nico didn’t even find it exciting.

Of course the pet farm was the wow factor of the day for him and the cute menu was the wow one for me!
