it was a great weekend indeed!You have to be very, very creative during winter time with a 2 year old toddler. Saturday morning after a marathon of Thomas and Friends in the morning, we decided to go out.After a long awaited time, finally had brunch at Beauty’s, a classic spot in Plateau. Also, we went to our first family weekend @ the MBAMThe museum of fine arts of Montreal has a wide variety of beautiful workshops every weekend for families and kids (starting young, from 2 years old). For christmas, we attended the Illuminated tree atelier, where kids could create their own “Sapin de Noel”. These activities are free! (what?!, yea!) and they have the sweetest and most dedicated employees that i’ve ever seen.Upstairs, there is a huge area with books and toys all by Canadian artists 🙂Here you can find more info about it.We saw Warhol’s Mania expo, an exhibition of his advertising work including illustrations, branding, posters and photography.loved it!
Fue un fin de semana genial!
De verdad hay que ser muy, muy creativo durante invierno con un bebe de 2 anos. El sábado en la mañana después de un maraton de Thomas and Friends, decidimos salir.
Después de un largo y esperado tiempo, hicimos brunch en Beauty’s, un lugar clásico en Plateau.
Tambien, fuimos a nuestro primer fin de semana en familia @ el MBAM
El museo de bellas artes de Montreal tiene una gran variedad de hermosos atelieres todos los fines de semanas para familias y niños (comenzando desde pequenos, a los 2 anos). Para Navidad, fuimos al atelier de arboles iluminados, donde los ninos pueden crear su propio árbol de navidad. Estas actividades son gratuitas! (que? yea!) y tiene a las empleadas mas dedicadas y encantadoras que he podido ver.
En el piso de arriba, hay un area gigante con libros y juguetes todos por artistas Canadienses.
Vimos la expo de Warhol Mania, una exhibición de su trabajo en publicidad incluyendo ilustraciones, branding, posters y fotografia.
