Tiny Food: Mini Pancake Cereal Bowls!
Remember the best pancake recipe I posted a few ago? jackpot!
This time, we are making them tiny and served as cereal pancakes (say what? what?) A staple plate of this lockdown during #rooooooona, and one that I wanted to try making so so badly.
As a lover of tiny things (pretty clear at this point), pancake cereal is just regular pancakes but in a mini version, cereal sized, just perfect to impress your kids and adults as well! Can you believe this trend started in TikTok?
The secrets of mini pancake cereal!
How do you eat it? It’s all up to you! My kiddos asked me to serve them with milk (I have two mini milk lovers at home), and for mama and dada, lots of butter and maple syrup! You can have all the fun and even add fruits, sugar, chocolate, vanilla, sprinkles, just do you!
But, do I need a special tool to make them? Not at all! I used a non-stick frying pan (I’m sure you have one at home), pour all the batter on a ziplock bag (cutting the tip off) and a spatula to flip them as soon as they’re ready, Boom! SO easy!
So, how do I start now? I’m hungry! Make your regular pancake batter – use my favourite recipe here and try to have a consistency that is isn’t too thick, so you can pipe the batter well. Add olive oil to your frying pan on low heat and flip as soon as you see them golden brown (they are ready faster than a regular sized pancake).
Aren’t they the cutest thing you’ll ever have? You guys, Olivia just couldn’t believe this.
Here’s the size that I did, but you can go wild and do them even smaller (that I’ll try next time)
Have fun and have a happy tiny cereal pancake time!
